On Tuesday night, May 30th, the Lycée Français Alumni Association sponsored its annual Spring Cocktail in the 95th Street Salle d'Honneur. Over 50 alumni came, spanning graduation years '53 to '99. Guests were greeted by 3ème students Edward Post, Samantha Wildenstein and Catia Verbeke, who made sure that everyone signed the Guest Register and received a name tag.

Guests were treated to a large spread of canapés and cheese, much of it donated by Xavier '76 and Dominique '73 Noel , owners of Patisfrance. Wine and beverages were graciously donated by the Lycée. Math teachers André Ambroggi and Vincent Guimer both helped out- M. Ambroggi tending bar and M. Guimer acting as resident photographer for the evening. Displayed in the room, was a collection of emails recently received by the Alumni Office as well as a large collage of photos taken during many different past alumni events.

The Lycée's Musical Theatre Workshop, under the direction of faculty members Rémy Loumbrozo and Stori MacPhee, presented selections from their production Chants et Lycée 2000 including their "best hits" of the last 15 years. The Musical Workshop performers included faculty members David Osborne and Joe Distler, as well as students Christopher Dulac, Laureen Moyal, Lara Louise Telson, Donald Mélé, Emmanuel Poupelle, Jean Christophe Brunais, Adeline Wohlhuter, Eric Jabart, Lara Ceppi, Bahij El Tamer, Chloé Lala-Katz, Benjamin Rosanvallon, Harriet Forrest and Voiletta Donini.

Lippe Taylor, P.R. provided a Bath & Bodyworks' Aromatherapy fragrant gift set that was presented as a Thank You to Vivianne for all her hard work.

The Spring Cocktail was a great success, not only because it attracted so many alumni, but also because it brought together so many different constituencies of the school, from faculty to students to staff members to administration to trustees. The Alumni Association gratefully thanks all those who made this evening possible.
