Class of 1959, On the Internet: Sally HessFROM: Swarthmore College Dance ProgramSally Hess was born and raised in New York City and began her dance career as The Child in Doris Humphrey's Day On Earth with Jose Limon. Since then, she has performed with Lucas Hoving, Ernestine Stodelle, Dan Wagoner, Remy Charlip, Donna Unchizono and currently, Christopher Caines. Beginning in 1982, she has presented her own solo work worldwide. She has been fortunate to study at length with Bonnie Bird, Maggie Black, and Bessie Schonberg. Choreography awards include fellowships from NYFA, The Yard, and the Djerassi Foundation. Sally is a certified instructor in the Yoga method of Mr. BKS Iyengar.
