On the Internet, Class of 1967: Andre Lubart

Andre Lubart is an educator, composer, conductor, percussionist, and visual artist with more than 25 years experience in music, art, dance, film and theater arts. As a faculty member in the Brooklyn College School of Education and Master teaching Artist with the ARTSGENESIS Institute of Multiple Intelligences, he teaches music and creative arts education, designs and develops music and arts programs for public schools, and conducts professional development workshops to help in-service teachers apply multiple intelligences theory and the arts to accelerated learning across the curriculum. He also works with the Lincoln Center Institute to develop art-supported literacy programs. Andre has worked as a performing artist with the Martha Graham and Lucas Hoving Dance companies and was resident percussionist with the La Mama Experimental Theater Company. He is presently active as a choral conductor, and was the music director at St. Peter's College for 6 years. He has composed and produced music for dance, theater and numerous award-winning films and television public service campaigns and he makes museum-quality native American bow and arrow replicas and artifacts.
